Project Coordinator at Cybercampus Sweden
Cybercampus Sweden (Cybercampus) is a national initiative and collaboration between universities, research institutes, as well as the public and private sectors across Sweden.
Cybercampus is tasked with conducting groundbreaking, agile, and interdisciplinary research, innovation, and education in cybersecurity and cyber defense, benefiting all sectors of society. Cybercampus addresses needs that are not met by other actors in the field and aims to achieve results that go beyond what individual organizations can accomplish on their own. By strengthening cybersecurity, improving cyber defense capabilities, and increasing Sweden's competitiveness, Cybercampus serves as a unifying national force that builds capacity and competence throughout the country.
KTH is the host organization for Cybercampus, and the staff is primarily located in Stockholm. The team consists of about fifteen competent colleagues, each with their own area of responsibility, working together towards common goals and sharing tasks and experiences.
Cybercampus is now seeking one (1) project coordinator.
Responsibilities
As a project coordinator at Cybercampus, you will play a key role in the work of preparing project applications to the EU as well as other international and national funders. You will be responsible for coordinating consortia in the work of preparing project applications and/or leading Cybercampus's participation as a partner in applications coordinated by other organizations. Once an application is approved, you will support the incoming project manager in areas such as the project's initial establishment and in the work with relevant agreements.
The position may include additional tasks, such as developing working methods and routines as well as monitoring EU calls and other international and national announcements. The tasks may evolve as Cybercampus develops and the organization grows. Not all of the described tasks will necessarily be able to be performed from the start. It is important that you can work effectively both independently and in a team, and have the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
You will work closely with colleagues who are engaged in research, innovation, education, and infrastructure within Cybercampus.
Travel in the position may occur, both domestically and internationally.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Academic degree in a relevant field deemed suitable by the employer.
- Several years of experience working with or coordinating project applications within EU programs, preferably Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, or the European Defence Fund, including experience in building European project consortia.
- Good knowledge of the opportunities available in research funding at the EU, national, and international levels, as well as related rules and procedures.
- Very good skills in MS Office and experience with digital collaboration and communication tools.
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written, as this is required for effective communication, documentation, and collaboration in daily work.
Since some of the tasks may involve handling EU-classified information, Swedish or other EU citizenship is required for employment.
Personal Qualities
To succeed in this role, you need to have a very good ability to collaborate in project-based work with many stakeholders, both within the organization and in collaboration with consortia and external partners. You are clear in your communication and have good leadership skills, which allows you to coordinate project consortia effectively. With a strategic approach, you stay one step ahead, drive processes independently, and ensure that objectives are achieved and followed up smoothly. You are structured and plan and prioritize thoughtfully. Additionally, you are proactive and solution-oriented, easily engage others, and are motivated by creating results that make a real difference.
Meritorious
- Experience in evaluating project applications at the national and/or international level.
